I AM DESIGNER

I AM A DESIGNER WITH A DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY.

I work in the evolving landscape of strategic design, underscoring how adaptability, empathy and systemic change are essential. Through my work I have  specialize in sustainability- and climate psychology, as well as the underlying mechanisms of good design through design- and architectural psychology.

My approach to all tasks is to establish a meaningful foundation and the overarching vision by understanding needs and desires. Using psychology as a basis, I point out directions (i.e. through scenarios) to build a much more balanced everyday life.

Core elements of strategic design:

Systems thinking: Focuses on the whole rather than isolated solutions. Analyzes interactions between actors, technology, policy, economy, and society.
Human-centered approach: User involvement and empathy are key to understanding needs and behavior. Methods like co-creation and Design Thinking ensure collaboration with stakeholders.
Future orientation:
Uses scenario planning and foresight to anticipate and shape trends. Develops flexible solutions that adapt to uncertainty.
Interdisciplinarity:
Integrates design with economics, social sciences, policy, and technology. Requires cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Narratives & communication:
Uses storytelling and visuals to simplify complexity and engage stakeholders. Builds shared understanding and commitment.
Prototyping & iteration:
Rapid testing through prototypes and pilots.
Feedback drives continuous improvement.

Strategic Design in Practice
Strategic design is applied in i.e. the transition of circular economy, mobility, urban planning, organizational development, policy strategies, and business development. It is used to navigate complex societal challenges such as sustainability, social inclusion, and technological development.
